Chris Donaghy, Managing Owner of Kitchen Brokers, is an independent kitchen designer. The company has evolved ahead of the competition to become the first "green" kitchen design company on the east coast. Chris specializes in not only "green" products, but also difficult to find products from around the world. Also, his competence in creating "cooks" kitchens is a result of his exposure to commercial as well as embassy kitchens.
Chris anticipated the declining role of storefront kitchen dealerships, and in 1998 created a business model that allows him to create high-end spaces on realistic budgets. The company maintains low overhead, allowing him to pass on cost savings to his clients.
As a small shop, Kitchen Brokers is a very personable company and prides themselves on getting to know each client fully. "We consider ourselves designers rather than salespeople, which allows us the time to work out solutions for clients. Yes, we earn our keep by selling products, but not at the cost of the clients needs", says Donaghy.
